Obama: "Lines of Tribes Shall Soon Dissolve" = Abolish Sovereignty

Great Black Father, Obama's Inaugural Address Targets "the Indian Problem."

While most of the Indian "nations" celebrate a black President, they don't realize the reality behind the United States government and its corporation's campaign of genocide against the indigenous sovereign nations. "The Indian!" A small portion of the Indian population 'refuse to be Conquered,' and they are the "problem!" Like in Mohawk, at Big Mountain, and where ever traditional thought, practices, and physical-being still exist. The ancient, indigenous sacred bundles are still alive. Altars of these sacred bundles that Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt and others made their solemn Oath to destroy. Great Black Father, today, unfortunately utters that same racist, zionist 'crap.' Uttering the same Nazi rhetoric against the weak, the poor, and those who are just in the way. Sheep Dog Nation Rocks' image posting (Oct. 29, 2008 "Non-Voter States..") of Obama as that reborn, Buffalo Soldier, was quite accurate, and will President Obama be the 'one again to help the white oppressor' in their attempts to annihilate the Indian? Lakota brother, Russell puts it best, here, and it's about time that everyone study American History 101-"X".

With all respect,I really believe you are misinterpreting what President Obama is saying. I've spent a lot of time on the Navajo Reservation and area surrounding it. I hear him differently. I hear an idea at the core of his message that all ethnic groups, decendents of all the various cultures and tribes and all political parties of people now living in America could be more effective in helping one another if they can talk as Americans. At the same time, we remember our specific heritages and those of our brothers and sisters. Your people, as are the indiginous people of Alaska and Hawaii, are an important part of the whole. Therefore, he is calling for us to recognize the things we have in common. (In my opinion, the majority of all the people in this county want to save the wildnerness and preserve the environment). He is calling on all of us to help one another. So, this is my question to you. Do the people living on the Navajo and Hopi lands not want to contribute in any way to the remaking of this nation? I believe this is an effort to make it better. I think your contributions could make a big difference. Maybe if you want is your land back and specific rights back, it might be the right time to get those things. But, it will likely have to be done smartly and diplomatically because there is an attempt to make this the age of diplomacy - honest communication with the greater good for all kept in mind while working for what individual groups need. I think you have a friend in the White House now. I hope you will give him a chance. Hopefully, all the four corners land will be protected from Peabody as well as the enire Western region.

The Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribal Council are contributing through a government avenue called the Bureau of Indian Affairs where the BIA approves project/proposals and allocates funds. That is it. In terms of diplomacy and development of international indigenous solidarity (New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska, Lappland, South/Central America, and Hokkiado-Japan), I and my community at Big Mountain have been active in these arenas since 1977. Tribal government do not recognize such endeavors of sovereign efforts and contribution. Further more, the U.S. government and its BIA view that our resistance to Peabody's encroachment as a leftist & lawless organization, and my people and some traditional Hopis continue to live under fear and small-scale repression. Finally, four years will come so quickly and usually enough time to do damage rather than healing. Already, Obama is appoving the National Forest Service to regulate Indian use of forest lands.
